Natural setting:
The first 3.5 km section runs alongside the River Ter through the riparian wood covering the river’s left bank, making for a pleasant green and shady route. The final kilometre passes through an urban landscape of industrial buildings along a path segregated from the N-IIa (Avenida de Francia) dual carriageway.

Sarrià del Ter: Roman villa and necropolis at Pla de l´Horta, Puente del Agua bridge, La Misericordia Parish Church, works by the architect Rafael Masó (Edifici de les Escoles, Café el Coro, and Casa Pòrtules, factories and workshops in Josep Flores Street, Masías (traditional country houses) of Sant Ferriol and San Camós, the water mill on the River Xuclá, and Sant Pau de Sarrià Parish Church.

Information and regulation panels, vertical and horizontal signage with Greenway logo, benches and bollards. The kilometre-long cycle path running parallel with the N-IIa dual carriageway is segregated from the roadway by a wooden railing and lit by urban street lamps.
Access:
Girona (km 0): Fontajau footbridge over the River Ter, at the northern end of La Devesa Park.
Sarrià de Ter (km 4,5): Between the municipal sports centre of Sarrià de Ter and the N-IIa (Avenida de Francia) in the Sarrià de Baix district.

In Girona the greenway links up with the Carrilet Greenway (Olot-Girona-San Feliu de Guíxols), a route which runs between the La Garrotxa volcanic area and the Costa Brava, passing through the historic city of Girona.

The Tren Pinxo Greenway forms part of the River Ter Route, a 220 km route for cyclists and walkers between the river’s source in the Pyrenees (at the Vallter 2000 ski resort) at an altitude of 2,150 m, and its mouth on the Costa Brava(www.rutadelter.cat)
