Connection with other routes:
Of the old Santander-Mediterranean railway in Castile and Leon, the Burgos-Cojóbar section (14 km) to the south of the city of Burgos, and the Engaña-Santelices Tunnel (6 km) in the north of the province, have also been recovered as greenways in the province of Burgos. Work is currently in progress on the prolongation of the greenway between Cojóbar and the provincial boundary with Soria.
There is also another important 66 km long greenway based on the old FC. Santander Mediterranean line between the city of Soria and the village of Hontoria del Pinar. See here >>
Therefore sooner or later it will be possible to walk or cycle from Burgos to Soria.
The Sierra de la Demanda Greenway, between Arlanzón and Monterrubio de la Demanda, is 20 km away from the city of Burgos. And we should also note that the Way of St James passes through Burgos and that the start of the El Cid Way passes through Vivar del Cid
